It’s been quite a while that we have not been able to post the updates. But we are very glad to announce that our works have been continuously taking us towards our goal.
From rice plantation, tree plantation events to earthquake relief activities and also to flood relief distribution, we are moving ahead.
Since the KRMEF is now awarded with the membership by Fair Trade Group Nepall (FTGN) we were also invited to attend the 21st Fair Trade Group Nepal Annual General Meeting which was very fruitful and inspiring.
We organized National Cultivation Day on 1st July where more than 60 students from John Dewey School participated on the local event of rice-plantation and mud-playing with equal participation of the community members.
Our Leela’s Eco Cafe, Farm and BnB served them with delicious bio-organic breakfast and lunch during the cultural festival.
We have been able to replace the roof of the cafe and library thanks to all the friends in New Zealand and Switzerland.
We also welcomed various guests from writers group to marriage feast holders at our Eco Home stay and Seminar Hall to diversify our foundation’s service at its best.
We received four groups French students who had a great and productive time at the foundation. There were altogether 70 of them.
We are receiving them as part of European Network for Global Learning(GLEN) interns where they will have a fantastic experience at the foundation and around.
Our vegetable garden has been relatively productive with farm produces supplied to the cafe for the essential ingredients to serve our guests.
The roof top garden and solar driers have been wonderful as value addition to the farm produce.
It was for the first time ever that we installed the vegetable wheel-cart by the road to sell the excess farm produces for the local visitors and passers-by along with the promotion of bio-organic culture.
We feel great towards our Mahila Shakti workshop handicraft team who have been working on the innovative designs which has been receiving positive feedback from the buyers.

Ankuran Waldorf Inspired School the first Parents Teachers Meeting this year where the parents had their own suggestions and encouraging words for our betterment. With the guests, we also had an intercultural celebration of ‘Krishna Janmashtami‘ the birthday of Lord Krishna and ‘Teej‘- Hindu women festivals celebrated in Nepal.
Our clinic has been providing the health services to the community women, children and elderly members for better public health. The number of the patients are increasing. Right now we are conducting two weeks long dental camp and already receiving a lot of patients.
Despite the rainy season, The earthquake relief projects of the building first four Eco homes in the vicinity have been going smoothly The houses will soon be ready shortly and we are already beginning to build another four Eco-homes as a second phase.
There are many other mini-projects going at the same time. The community library, honey products, animal farm, bio-briquettes production are all on the right track.
It is really delightful to see the foundation doing great till now. We will be working more for the betterment of the community.
