Dear Friends,
The period from January until today has been exceptionally wonderful! So much work has happened at the foundation.
We have declared the year 2017 an economic year and inner deployment year. We have started tidying up the foundation, installing the multinational flags along the track leading up from the main road, renovating the clinic/health care center, waste and recycling station etc.
We celebrated Ankuran‘s parents meeting, as well as renovating and preparing a new class room for grade 3. The number of students are enthusiastically increasing. We feel greatly inspired.
The quality of our Eco café is constantly improving, bringing increasing numbers of visitors.
We have conducted several one-day biodynamic seminars at the foundation which all turned out to be very fruitful and meaningful.
The foundation handed over a family house – partly constructed using bottles instead of bricks – to a family nearby. The family is very grateful and happy. We are so pleased as well.
We are now developing a roof top garden, moving our jewelry workshop and plan to offer several workshops on biodynamics to locals.
We had a wonderful trip to Ratemate Dhading to visit the library there. It is working very well and we recently handed over a pair of computer to the library and to the principal office.
We have many more task on hand. We have just finished working on the house reconstruction proposal. Hope we can realize that ASAP.
The garden is promising to supply us with a good harvest in a while. We transplanted 2000 tomatoes saplings, as well as planting some other areas with pumpkins, cucumbers, cabbages, potatoes and beans. The cows are doing very well and, just over a week ago, a beautiful new calf was born here.
There has been a steady flow of volunteers from Germany, Israel, Sweden, England and the USA, staying for various periods of time and working alongside our local team in numerous projects at the foundation. Their help has been most welcome and we hope that, when they leave here again, they will inspire others with what they’ve seen and experienced here. They are an important part of our efforts to keep the foundation vital.
We have had many important meetings with the government and other stakeholders and all remained meaningful.
Thank you so much to all our friends who lent their hands, ideas and offered contributions. Without your support, it would not have been possible. Your ongoing enthusiasm helps us spread the foundation’s vision of social integration and sustainable growth. Thank you so much !!!
